About Me
My name is Mia Franco
I have been born on a beautiful Caribbean island (Dominican Republic), although I feel like a citizen of the world, as I have lived and worked on different continents. Among my great passions are traveling, discovering gastronomy, and meeting people.
Daughter of a chef mother and an accountant father (Matilde & Angel), I inherited their professions from both, since I am an accountant with a specialty in international trade and logistics; but later my love for gastronomy grew to the point of studying gastronomy and dedicating myself entirely to it.
Matilde Food Atelier is in honor of my mentor, my mother; from her, I learned that gastronomy is one of the most beautiful ways to express love and respect towards others.
